2012 SAMUHA SATHYANARAYANA POOJA at Balaji Temple, Birmingham -

The Trustees and Executive Committee of G S Sabha is delighted to bring to your attention the holding of Samuha Sathya Narayana Pooja at Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple of UK, Dudley Road East, Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands B69 3DU.

The Samuha Sathya Narayana Pooja ceremony will be held on Sunday the 15th January 2012 at Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple of UK, Dudley Road East, Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands B69 3D at sharp 10.30am. Each family will have the opportunity to perform the Pooja by themselves under the guidance of the Temple Priest. The temple will provide all Pooja items. Pooja can be performed either by men or women.

If you would like to take part in this POOJA ceremony, please call the Balaji Temple office on 0121 544 2256 between 8.30 am to 9.00pm and enrol yourselves for the Samuha Sathya Narayan Pooja, by quoting our ref “G S Sabha”. The cost of the Pooja will be £35/ payable directly to the Temple by credit / debit card and get a pooja TOKEN number. You need to call the Balaji temple as soon as possible to confirm whether you will be able to participate in the Pooja. Please note that Temple has limited number of places, so if you would like to participate please call at the earliest and book your place. If you need further details and /or clarifications, please call Jayanarayan or Sujatha Bhat on 020 8958 9334 or the temple directly.

Diwali Thali competition -

A "DIWALI POOJA THALI" competition for both Sabha and Samaj children and teenagers is organised on the Diwali Celebrations day 29th Oct 11. Please find more details here

Gowda Saraswath Sabha UK Silver Jubilee - Celebrating 25 Years -

Saturday 27th August to Monday 29th August 2011

This year the Gowda Saraswath Sabha celebrates 25 years as a community in the UK. A Silver Jubilee planning committee has been set up to organise a very special celebration to mark this occasion.

We hope to make this a grand event involving the whole community.

We would appreciate everyone's help, whether you can participate, offer any size of donation or simply attend the celebration, it will help support our community and Sabha.

Book Bank Project -

The Book Bank (BB) Project is in the inception phase. This is an initiative by the Sabha to bring provide a virtual platform for the exchange of books and knowledge material (e.g. Medical, Accounting, Dental, Engineering, Management, Hobby etc) among members and extends the thought of "borrowing a book from a friend".

This project aims to provide a virtual list of knowledge material to all members and intends to bring like minded members with specific interests closer to each other.
 
Bhakti -

Bhakti means "devotion" and thats the name of the new series of events organized by the G S Sabha for exposing our younger generation to our culture.
