Ingredients
2 medium sized Karela (Gourd)
1 medium sized onion
2 teaspoons dhaniya powder
1 ½ teaspoons red chilli powder
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons desiccated coconut
Salt to taste
Method
Wash and cut Karela into small cubes. Sprinkle a little salt and leave
for ½ an hour. Squeeze all the water out from the cubes.
Heat oil in a pan and when hot transfer the karela into the pan and
stir. Add Chopped onion and stir fry until it turns golden brown.
Add dhaniya powder, dessicated coconut, chilli powder and salt and mix thoroughly and simmer for about 15 minutes to a uniform texture.
